What Is National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine?
This is a commercial pre-college program operated by Envision, a WorldStrides subsidiary. In 2026 it offered 6-day commuter and 8-day residential sessions for grades 9-12 at six host campuses, with simulations in vital signs, phlebotomy, suturing, patient history, ethics, triage, and outdoor medicine plus career talks and a medical-school or simulation-center visit. Tuition was USD 3,999 commuter and USD 4,499-4,599 residential. Residential students received two George Mason University credits; commuters received one.
The host campuses do not award that credit, and at least the Yale listing explicitly says Envision operates independently and is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Yale. Home-to-site travel, optional airport shuttle, some meals/incidental spending, payment-plan fees, and card fees may add to the price. All published 2026 sessions ended by July 31, and no 2027 dates or prices are posted. An invitation or educator nomination is not itself an award, scholarship, university selection, or evidence of admission competitiveness.
