What Is NYU Precollege?
NYU Precollege lets eligible high-school juniors and seniors take New York University courses alongside NYU students and faculty for college credit. The university offers Precollege in summer, fall and spring, with course availability, school participation, pricing, deadlines and support varying by term.
Summer applicants must be rising 11th or 12th graders; fall and spring applicants must be current 11th or 12th graders. The Summer 2026 term ran July 1-August 12 and advertised more than 100 course choices, advisers and New York City activities. Fall 2026 courses ran September 2-December 14, and that application closed August 14. International students may participate under the applicable F-1 and English-proficiency rules; B-2 visitor status is not permitted when NYU sponsorship is needed.
