What Is Rube Goldberg Machine Contest?
The official 2027 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest invites coached teams of 1–15 members to build a machine that performs an assigned simple task through elaborate steps. Separate elementary, middle-school, high-school and adult divisions apply; homeschool teams are welcome. Registration is open at USD 100 per team, with limited scholarships, and teams receive their regional assignment after registering. The full 2027 task and rulebook are available only to registered teams. Regional events lead to selected national contests and a May 22 world championship; local entry dates and additional expenses need confirmation.
