# Steven H. Strogatz Prize for Math Communication Run by the National Museum of Mathematics and named for the Cornell mathematician and author, the Strogatz Prize rewards high school students who can make mathematics land with a general audience. It is deliberately format-agnostic: entries can be "reels, blogs, podcasts, artwork, TikTok videos, songs, musings, or any other mode of public communication celebrating the universality of math." Students may enter individually, as a pair, or as a small team. ## What You'll Do - Choose a mathematical idea and a medium - video, writing, song, poetry, dance, art, or social media - Build a project that explains or celebrates that idea for a non-specialist audience - Submit through MoMath's entry system during the annual application window - Be judged on "content, creativity, and communication" - Compete for cash prizes, with winning entries recognized and published online by MoMath ## Who Should Apply Students enrolled in high school, secondary school, or the equivalent for the contest academic year who are 15 to 18 years old as of September 1 preceding the contest.
