What Is Tuskegee VET STEP?
Tuskegee University's VET STEP introduces students entering grades 9–12 to veterinary medicine through residential classes, laboratory work, presentations and field trips. The official page describes two free one-week sessions in June 2026, with families responsible for transportation and full campus residence required. Selection used a complete application, academic record, a veterinary-interest essay and recommendations from a science teacher and counselor. Previous VET STEP participants cannot repeat either session. The next cycle's dates, funding and application requirements are not announced, so the 2026 deadline should remain historical.
