What Is USC Bovard Scholars?
USC Bovard Scholars is a no-cost college-access program for high-achieving high-school juniors with demonstrated financial need. Its core is a required three-week residential intensive on the University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles. Scholars live in campus housing, receive individualized admissions coaching and take part in essay workshops, college and financial-aid sessions, career exploration, test preparation, practice exams, campus activities and peer community building.
The Summer 2027 application opens November 2, 2026, a printed civil date without an opening clock. The complete student application and counselor evaluation/transcript are due January 15, 2027 at 5 p.m. Pacific (January 16 at 01:00 UTC). Current grade 11, financial-need, weighted GPA 4.0, advanced mathematics and US/territory school-curriculum requirements apply. The completed 2026 dates are historical; they do not replace the current cutoff.
