# Write the World Write the World is a global online community where teen writers ages 13-19 draft, revise, and publish their work - anchored by a free writing competition in a different genre each month. Genres rotate through poetry, sci-fi and fantasy, flash fiction, journalism, screenwriting, fairytales and myths, op-eds, and memoir, and past guest judges have included Amanda Gorman, Michelle Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz, and US Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky. ## What You'll Do - Join a free account and enter the monthly competition, which begins the first Monday of each month on a three-week timeline - Submit a draft early - the first 50 entrants receive an in-depth review from Expert Reviewers - Give and receive structured peer review from teen writers around the world - Compete for cash prizes and publication, and submit polished work to the Write the World Review ## Who Should Apply Writers ages 13-19 anywhere in the world, from first-time entrants to students assembling competitive portfolios.
