What Is WriteGirl Teen Writing and Mentoring Program?
WriteGirl welcomes teen girls and gender-expansive teens ages 13–18 from anywhere in the world. Participation is free, and teens may join at any time during its year-round season. Most workshops are online, with some in-person events in Los Angeles. Participants explore creative writing and can request support with a project or ongoing weekly mentoring; weekly mentor matching currently has a waiting list. The programme also offers leadership training, college guidance and the opportunity to submit work for publication consideration. Registration requires both a teen registration form and a parent or guardian consent form. Participants who are 18 complete the consent form themselves. Confirm current workshop dates, mentoring availability and any travel arrangements.
