# Young Executives in our Community (YEOC) YEOC is a free, nine-month college-readiness and business program hosted by the University of Washington's Foster School of Business in Seattle. Established in 2006, it cultivates first-generation and economically disadvantaged high school student leaders from across Washington State through college preparation, mentorship, and real-world business skills. Students attend all-day sessions on the UW Seattle campus one Saturday per month from September through May; breakfast, lunch, and all materials are provided. ## What You'll Do - Attend monthly Saturday sessions (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) in Paccar and Dempsey Halls - Hear business lectures from Foster faculty and industry professionals - Work with mentors on college applications, essays, and financial aid - Build professional development and leadership skills with a statewide cohort ## Who Should Apply Current sophomores and juniors at any Washington State high school (3.0 GPA preferred, not required). First-generation and economically disadvantaged students are strongly encouraged; no business experience is needed. Applications open in February and close May 31. ## Outcomes Across program history, 99% of YEOC students have gone on to college, with a majority admitted to the University of Washington. Alumni gain a mentor network, business exposure, and a pathway into the Foster School.
