What Is Girl Security National Fellows Program?
Girl Security’s National Fellows Program is a 12-week virtual introduction to national security, combining independent modules with live workshops. Fall 2026 applications are closed. Eligible applicants are girls, women or gender minorities in grade 11 through two years after high school, with selected motivated grade-10 applicants considered; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
The programme estimates 1.5–2 hours of work each week. Graduates receive a completion certificate and access to mentoring and professional-development opportunities, with an optional ten-week Design Thinking Challenge in spring 2027. Recommendation letters are encouraged but not compulsory. Confirm future application dates and fees; the programme does not directly place students in internships or jobs.
