What Is Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive?
Juilliard's Summer Dance Intensive is a selective, three-week program at the school's Lincoln Center campus for advanced dancers who have completed grades 9, 10, or 11 but have not yet graduated. Participants are generally ages 15-17, have at least three years of ballet and modern or contemporary training, and currently train at least 10 hours per week. International students may apply. Approximately 44 dancers are admitted by video audition.
The current summer 2027 application route is open. Applications and videos, fee or waiver, accommodation requests and recommender information are due December 15,2026. Ballet-teacher recommendations are due January 5,2027; results are announced no later than February 13. No closing clock or timezone is published. Dancers must complete grade 9,10 or 11 before the programme and not have graduated.
