What Is AMDA High School Summer Conservatory?
AMDA's two-week High School Summer Conservatory gives students intensive, college-style training in acting, musical theatre, dance, recording-artist performance, content creation, or screenwriting in New York City or Los Angeles. Disciplines vary by campus and session. Students spend about nine live class hours per day plus meals, presentations, and structured activities, and graduates earn AMDA college credit that may be transferable subject to the receiving institution's rules.
Applicants must be ages 13-19 and currently completing grades 8-12. The process includes an online application, a 10-15-minute interview, acceptance, a $250 deposit, focus-specific demonstration materials, and enrollment forms. Completed 2026 sessions cost $4,300 with housing or $3,263 without housing, including tuition, meals, entertainment, shirts, and associated fees; airfare was separate and airport transfer was $130 each way. The final 2026 session ended August 8. AMDA now offers a 2027 interest form, but 2027 applications, dates, prices, and requirements are not yet published.
