What Is Kenyon Review Young Writers Summer?

Kenyon Review's Young Writers Summer Residential Workshop brings students to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio for two weeks of writing and discussion. In the 2026 program, small multi-genre workshops used daily prompts, readings, peer response, revision and individual instructor meetings. Work was ungraded. Kenyon Review also offers other high-school writing programs.

The 2026 audience was students ages 16-18 who were rising juniors, rising seniors or recent high-school graduates, including international applicants. Applicants submitted a statement, transcript and recommendation, and attended the full residential session. Confirm the age and school-standing rules for any new cycle.
