# Leo Clubs (Lions International) Leo Clubs are the youth service clubs of Lions Clubs International, one of the world's largest service organizations. Alpha Leo clubs serve young people ages 12-18 (Omega Leo clubs continue for ages 18-30), so middle schoolers can join or help charter a club as early as age 12. School-based clubs draw members from a local school and work with a faculty advisor, while community-based clubs are open to eligible young people in the area; every Leo club is sponsored and mentored by a local Lions club. ## What You'll Do - Plan and lead service projects that meet needs you see in your own community - Hold club offices and run meetings, building real leadership experience - Work alongside adult Lions mentors and connect with Leos around the world - Take part in Lions International youth programs and district-level Leo events ## Who Should Apply Young people ages 12-18 for Alpha Leo membership. Join an existing Leo club at your school or in your community, or work with a local Lions club to start one - clubs form and accept members year-round, and Leo membership carries no membership fee. ## Outcomes Leos build a sustained service record, leadership skills, and an international network, with a natural pathway into Lions programs as young adults. For middle schoolers, it is one of the few globally recognized service clubs that welcomes members from age 12.
