What Is Stanford SHTEM Internship?
Stanford Compression Forum’s SHTEM programme introduces students to interdisciplinary research. The announced 2027 programme runs June 21–August 6 and is expected to take place on campus at Stanford. Students must currently be juniors or seniors in the 2026–27 school year, be at least fourteen by June 20 and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Applications are expected to open December 7, 2026 and close February 21, 2027. The published expected fees are $95 for the nonrefundable application and $2,500 tuition, both subject to change, with financial assistance available. Families arrange housing and commuting; students generally bring their own lunch. Full attendance is required, with mentor-dependent schedules around twenty to thirty hours weekly.
