What Is The Academies by Harvard Student Agencies?
The Academies are one-week pre-professional enrichment courses for high-school students in grades 9-12. They are run by Harvard Student Agencies and taught primarily by Harvard undergraduate instructors. Offerings span business, finance/economics, pre-med, government/pre-law/international politics, and coding. This is not Harvard College admissions, a Harvard University degree or credit program, or instruction by Harvard faculty in every session.
In summer 2026, on-campus courses met in Harvard classrooms from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday for 40 hours and combined lessons, activities, guest speakers, field trips, lunch, networking, and a final presentation. Virtual Zoom courses ran noon-4:00 p.m. Eastern for 20 hours. On-campus tuition was $1,800 per week; current virtual tuition and optional housing price were not reliably published on the pages reviewed. Need-based tuition-discount aid is available to domestic and international applicants only when requested inside the general application before submission.
