What Is Camp Cronkite?
Camp Cronkite is a selective one-week residential media camp at Arizona State University's Downtown Phoenix campus. Campers study writing, interviewing, visual storytelling, personal branding, and electives such as podcasting, producing, videography, photography, weather, and social media while living in supervised shared rooms at Gordon Commons.
The completed 2026 sessions ran June 7-12 and June 21-26 for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors age 15-17. Tuition was $899 and included instruction, activities, meals, housing, technology access, supervision, a shirt, and a movie; travel and personal supplies were separate. Limited need-based scholarships were offered.
