# Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp is a free, twenty-hour introduction to artificial intelligence for high school students, hosted each fall by partner companies in more than 30 cities across the United States. Students learn what AI is and isn't, where they already encounter it, and how to think critically about its ethics - no prior computer science needed. ## What You'll Do - Attend free Saturday sessions (2026 dates: October 31, November 7, and November 14, with exact times set by your city) - Learn AI fundamentals through hands-on instruction at a host company's offices - Build a capstone project and explore AI career tracks - Get mentorship from local technologists, plus AI ethics training and career exploration - Continue receiving mentorship and AI learning opportunities until you graduate ## Who Should Apply High school students of any background in participating metro areas - locations span Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, and many other states. The foundation stresses that no previous computer science coursework is necessary. Applications for fall 2026 reopen August 1, 2026: students complete a short online form, choose a career track, and a parent or guardian approves the application. ## Outcomes Graduates finish with a capstone AI project, a working understanding of machine learning concepts and AI ethics, a local professional network, and ongoing mentorship through high school graduation - all at zero cost.
