What Is UT Computer Science Summer Academies?
UT Computer Science Summer Academies are in-person campus programs for high-school students entering grades 10-12. The umbrella includes open-enrollment academies in game development, iOS app development, machine learning, robotics and data science research, plus two separate application-based Scholars Academies: Academy for All and Academy for Women. UT faculty and staff lead hands-on projects, computing instruction and career exploration.
Most open-enrollment tracks are one-week residential experiences, while the completed 2026 Data Science Research academy was a two-week day program. The last published 2026 prices ranged from $1,400 for Data Science Research to $2,100 for residential programs, but 2027 prices are not yet confirmed. Academy for All and Academy for Women were free residential programs for U.S.-based students entering grades 11-12, with limited travel support.
