What Is Pratt Summer PreCollege Intensive?
Pratt's four-week residential program lets current high-school students take two hands-on college-level courses in art, design, architecture, or writing on the Brooklyn campus. Students earn four credits, a letter grade, an official transcript, and a Credly certificate while building portfolios and completing required studio hours with support from current Pratt students. Residence-hall living and New York cultural activities add a structured college preview.
Applications for 2027 are scheduled to open in November 2026, although program dates and the total program fee will not be announced until later. The published application fee is $65 and accepted students pay a $600 nonrefundable deposit. Limited full-ride scholarships cover tuition, fees, room, and board; the scholarship deadline is February 1, 2027, and the international-student deadline is April 1, 2027. Early applications are encouraged because classes can fill.
