What Is Harvest of Hope?
Harvest of Hope is the Society of St. Andrew's faith-based, experiential service-and-learning program for groups. At the current 2026 overnight weekends, participants glean surplus produce from farm fields, help load or deliver it to local hunger-relief organizations, study the causes of hunger and poverty, and consider ways to continue serving at home. Ecumenical Christian worship is commonly included but is explicitly optional.
The three published intergenerational weekends are Harrisonburg, Virginia, September 25-27; Eastern North Carolina, October 9-11; and Riner, Virginia, November 6-8, 2026. Each costs $175 per person, and registration is open while space remains. This is group registration rather than an individual youth application: the form collects a group/church contact and counts youth under 18 and adults separately.
