What Is ACE Mentor Program?
ACE is a national network of local affiliates, not one uniform cohort. High-school students register with the affiliate serving their ZIP code. A typical 15-25-person team works with volunteer architects, engineers, construction managers, and tradespeople on a mock design-and-build project.
Programs usually run for about 15 two-hour after-school meetings during the school year, plus jobsite/office visits and college or career events, ending in a team presentation. Local affiliates control dates, deadlines, eligibility, capacity, meeting mode, transportation, cost, parent forms, attendance, and scholarships. Students are responsible for reaching meetings.
