What Is Heithoff-Brody High School Summer Scholars?
Salk's Heithoff-Brody Summer Scholars program offers paid, mentored laboratory research from June 14–August 6, 2027. Applicants must live in San Diego County, have attended a county high school in the most recent semester, be at least 16 by June 14, have a GPA of at least 2.75 and have completed biology; chemistry is preferred. Interns work in person for 30–40 hours weekly and take part in seminars and presentations. Applications open December 1, 2026, and all materials are due February 15, 2027.
